Witch's hat and broom for Barbie

And here's the witch's hat and broom to complete your Barbie's Halloween outfit. The hat is made from thick imitation leather. If you don't have any, you can replace it with soft cardboard and cover it with black fabric. For the procedure, take inspiration from the fairy hat. For the broom, I had a fairly long stick, but a simple stick might work better. And the straw can be replaced by paper cut into strips. Happy sewing!

Hat material

- A piece of thick fabric for the top of the hat: 10cm x 10cm (8" x 8") - A piece of thick fabric for the brim of the hat: an 8cm diameter circle ( 3 ¼") - An orange fabric band or ribbon to decorate the hat

Making the witch's hat

Twist the hat fabric to make a cone. Then apply a piece of tape to hold it in place. Then staple and/or sew to hold. Try on the doll's head before stapling and sewing.

Then cut the excess fabric so that the hat is round at the base. It doesn't have to be perfect, it's a witch's hat after all! I added a little black felt over the staples to hide them

Take the cone and place it in the middle of the circle. Trace around it with a felt-tip pen Then cut the fabric in the middle. Don't cut the circle perfectly, so you can fit the hat on the doll's head. It will be tighter and won't fall off.
