A DIY gift for mom!

The originality of this door plaque lies in the patchwork of different materials (mosaic, paper towel, felt, lace ribbon, scrapbooking buttons...). It's a matter of choosing the tone of the object to be offered (for our creation, in pink and violet) then looking here and there for a ribbon, buttons, a piece of fabric or paper towel with a pretty motif etc... all in the colors that have been chosen.      

                  The first step, of course, is to paint the door plaque (whether wood or cardboard) with acrylic paint. Then, since it's a door plaque, we need to specify the name of the person or room. We've chosen to draw the letters using transparent, acid-etched micro-mosaic (5 mm squares): simply glue each square with white glue and place it on the plaque.      

The lace ribbon is placed at the bottom of the plate with textile glue. The napkin motif is placed using the napkin gluing technique.

                  After drying, the outline of the Towel Heart motif is outlined with red multi-support felt like a zig-zag seam (with a reminder on the lace ribbon). A button is glued onto the heart and a little felt is placed in the button's cats to give the appearance that the button is sewn onto the heart.      

Cut out 2 flower shapes in contrasting colors from the pieces of felt. the flower is "mounted" on the plate and glued with textile glue. A button is placed in the center.
