Mother's Day card ideas

To accompany the poetry celebrating mom, a pretty card made by little hands is a must. Here are a few ideas to help children and mothers, as well as teachers, educators and entertainers...

Here's the quickest card to make! Half a sheet of Canson paper and a piece (or several pieces) of fabric, glue and a cutter - handle with care!
Cut two 10.5 * 15 cm cards and draw 3 hearts of different sizes in pencil. Using a cutter, hollow out the hearts. Glue the fabric to the inside of the card (don't use too much glue, otherwise it will smudge and leave unsightly marks), then glue the two card flaps together. You can use the pattern below as a guide.

Moms love hearts, but they also love flowers! To make this daisy, all you need is half a sheet of Canson paper, colored paper scraps, scissors and glue! cut out the card (half a sheet of Canson paper, widthwise). Cut out each petal, the stem and the heart from different-colored paper. Write sweet nothings and glue. You can use the patterns on the template as a guide.

Very easy to make with children who know how to use a pair of scissors, this card can be made with papers of different colors or textures, or with a gradient for a pretty effect. Cut out the 12 x 12 cm card. Cut out the hearts in different papers. Glue them to each other, then to the card. You can use the pattern below as a guide.

This card is more elaborate than the previous ones, and more suitable for older children. You'll need colored paper, scissors, glue, a cutter, thread and a needle. Cut out the card (15 x 10.5 cm), then draw and hollow out the hearts with a cutter. Cut out colored hearts (2 of each) from colored paper. Thread the thread onto the needle and tie a knot at the other end. pierce the card and pass the needle and thread through. Apply a dot of glue to make sure everything holds together. Secure the heart by wedging the thread between the two parts. You can use the pattern for the heart shapes.
