A very reindeer Christmas frame

A Christmas frame that wouldn't look out of place in Santa's home, would it? When the napkin motif gives you the idea, here's a new Christmas decoration for walls with an aunthentico-naïf look!
Christmas reindeer frame
The idea is for the reindeer antler frame to be in one piece, allowing you to place the design of a napkin on it (i.e. 1/4 napkin). You'll need a plywood board (approx. 5mm thick) measuring at least 50 cm by 30 cm. A pretty paper towel with a Christmas motif, some red, black and white paint, and some spray varnish-glue. And, of course, a scroll saw.

Drawing

Frame drawing before cutting
in the bottom left-hand corner of a wooden board, draw a square the size of the motif (i.e. 15.5 cm -0.5 cm margin) plus the width of the frame edges (2.5 cm), i.e. a 20 cm square, then a second identical square side-by-side. Draw a reindeer antler on a sheet of paper (cartoon-style, I agree).
When you're satisfied with the design, transfer it to the wooden board above the second square (it seems that leaving a 3-4 cm margin from the edge is prettier), then invert the sheet of paper on the other side of the square. Finally, I've chosen to round off the bottom edges of the frame on one square (once you've cut out this square, you'll transfer these roundings to the other).

Cutting

The frame after sanding
Cut according to drawing, and sand the wood edges with sandpaper.

Bonding

Painting and collage
Paint the background of the frame white, so that the napkin motif is clearly visible (and not blended in with the wood color). Cut the napkin into a square, double it up and place it upside down on cardboard. Spray the varnish-glue aerosol (about 20 cm away and over the entire surface). Wait a few minutes. The advantage of spray varnish-glue over liquid varnish is that it's easy to glue 1/4 of a napkin in this way, and the result is smooth and impeccable. Take up the napkin and place it firmly in the center of the frame. If you make a mistake, you can easily peel it off and stick it back on again, which is another advantage of this type of glue.

Paint

Reindeer frame painting
Painting stage for the visible part of the frame. A brown is created from the red, a little black, a little white, then declined to make a little effect... (lighter at the top of the frame, plain and darker for the woods...).
All that's left to do is glue this part of the frame to the other and attach a clamp to the back. And off you go for the Great North!
