Making Tila pearl earrings,magatama
How to easily create earrings using just a few pretty Miyuki and Swarovski beads: Tila beads (small flat squares with double holes), Long Magatama beads from the Japanese Miyuki ® brand and round faceted beads from the famous Swarovski ® crystal brand.

Supplies
- 10 Miyuki Long Matagama beads 4x7mm Metal Dark bronze
- 4 Miyuki Tila beads Little Caramel Ceylon
- 2 Tila de Miyuki Mat Metal Dark bronze beads
- 6 round faceted beads (Swarovski ref. 5000) in 4mm White Ab (or any other 4mm beads)
- 2 rings diameter 4mm
- 2 ear hooks
- approx. 80 cm of 0.24mm nylon thread
Find these supplies in the Tila Bronze doré earrings kit (you can choose the "no instructions" option).

- 2 rings diameter 4mm
- 2 ear hooks
- approx. 80 cm of 0.24mm nylon thread
Find these supplies in the Tila Bronze doré earrings kit (you can choose the "no instructions" option).
Step 1
Cut the wire in 2 (so 40 cm of wire for a first earring).
Thread a Magatama, a rocaille, a 4mm pearl, a rocaille, a Magatama.
Then cross the wires in a "rocaille + Magatama + rocaille" set.
"Crossing the wires" means that one wire passes through this set of 3 beads, then the other wire passes through the same beads but in the opposite direction, thus crossing the first wire.
Center the wire by sliding it over the beads, then tighten.
Step 2
Add a Magatama on each wire, followed by a seed bead.
Cross the wires in a 4mm bead.
Step 3
Add 2 seed beads on each thread, then a Beige Tila (each thread passing through a hole in the Tila), then a seed bead on each thread, a Golden Tila, a seed bead on each thread, a Beige Tila, a seed bead on each thread.
Cross in a seed bead.
Tighten the threads.
Step 4
Pass the wires together through a 4mm bead, then through a seed bead and finally through a ring.
The wires pass through the seed bead, the 4mm bead, cross each other in the seed bead and then pass through a seed bead and the beige Tila. Under the Tila, make a double knot in front of a hole in the Tila, pass one of the wires through it and pull gently so that the knot catches in the Tila.
Cut the wires flush.
Open the ring (from the side, using flat-nose pliers) and pass it through the loop fastener.
Do the same for the other loop.

- a necklace with Long Magatama pearls and Swarovski crystal cabochon and spinners in the same golden bronze and white tones
- a bracelet with Tila and Long Magatama pearls in a wide band, very comfortable on the wrist
- a ring matching the pendant of the above necklace.
