To brighten up this "meadow green" tree, wool felt decorations in relief are made. In shades of pink, parma and dark purple, to match the
baby's bedroom decor and the dressed bassinet, shapes are cut out. The shapes include butterflies and dragonflies, specific to this room, as well as hearts and large flowers (reminiscent of the motifs on home deco canvases for babies).
For each hanging decoration: the main shape is first cut twice in felt (2 pink flowers, for example), then a smaller motif to be placed on the shape is cut in felt of a different color.
between the two identical shapes is some padding (or small pieces of recycled felt), then the shapes are sewn together with contrasting-colored embroidery thread (3 strands) in faux coarse stitches. The motif(s) are then sewn, again with colored stitch effects.
