Cardboard console table

To make this console table, I first cut the template from flat cardboard. 18 profiles in all, as I used 3 sheets of cardboard for a single profile, and the piece of furniture is made in 2 main stages. In fact, there are 2 pieces of furniture assembled. This was necessary for future solidity and to obtain attractive legs, otherwise the legs would have been enlarged if I'd made them in a single step.

The cabinet is ready to be completely covered with cardboard using gummed Kraft.

The table is plastered, the plaster always based on blanc de meudon.

Final stage cardboard console table

After coating, I paint it, using ebony-colored acrylic paint. Then I apply 3 coats of aquaréthane vitrifier to protect it from any water splashes. Please note! The drawer handles are also made from cardboard, and the paint used is a gold-metal acrylic. Thanks for reading. Marie
