A little straw chair gets a "seaside" makeover!
First, it's painted in two coats of blue acrylic paint.
Then, once dry, the different sides of the chair are stenciled with white acrylic paint.
The stencil is fixed in place (with temporary spray glue, the work will be easier and more successful). Then apply the paint with a putoiser brush, dabbing the brush with a cloth before applying.
Beware: too much paint, or a brush that's too wet, will cause the motif to overflow.
This stencilling activity is possible with young children from 4-5 years of age; but beware! the difficulty may lie in stopping them...!
