This coat rack, with its elephant motif, is made for a child's bedroom.
I make my drawing and reproduce it on tracing paper. I take a piece of plywood on which I've applied a first coat of varnish, to prevent the wood from absorbing too much when I apply the first coat of paint.
using my tracing paper, I reproduce the drawing on the wood, then start painting (acrylic).
The elephant, the sun and the plant are cut and painted separately. Once the paint is dry, I circle all the contours with felt-tip pens of different colors. I apply a coat of varnish, which helps clean the figurine and prevents its colors from fading.
It remains to attach the fasteners (2) to the back and screw on the pegs.
Children are more inclined to put away their sleepwear or other items on a rack made just for them
