A mobile for a child's bedroom

Wooden mobile for children's bedroom
A mobile in tender colors that animates animal hangers made of paintable wooden stickers. A decoration that will find its place in a baby's room, in the bathroom or above baby's changing table...

Materials required

  • medium subjects to paint
  • thread (fishing line, wool, roasting twine, etc.)
  • 2 chopsticks (I used wooden chopsticks for skewers)
  • paint (acrylic or gouache) in three tones to match each other and the colors of the room or room to be decorated

Painting subjects in medium
Using the thread, hold the 2 rods together to form a solid cross. I have chosen to present the mobile as a cross, but you can simply make models in line. Please leave a long piece of thread which will be used to fasten the mobile once it is finished.
Mobile preparation
Suspending topics on mobile
Thread the thread through an embroidery needle (with a round edge to avoid pricking) or a beading needle. With the help of the needle, pass the thread through the hole in the subject. Fix the subjects to the cross, varying the length of suspension, and balancing the mobile.
