This technique creates a mosaic effect, and is very easy to use.

Very flexible, the sheets can be used to cover objects with raised surfaces, such as polystyrene shapes. This little cat can be made by 7-year-olds, using small squares cut with scissors.

Tips and tricks (from Workshop experience)

Choose 2 to 4 different sheets, Tear off small pieces of Decopatch sheet, Glue them so as to overlap the edges of the previously glued pieces, Of course, don't glue two identical pieces of sheet side by side ... Plan on at least two extra coats of varnish

Please note that Decopatch sheets don't cover very well, especially those in light colors. In this case, it's imperative to apply a coat of white paint or paint of the same tone beforehand. Or glue on another layer of paper beforehand, such as a plain paper napkin (less expensive!)

Ageometric Décopatch tray
Another use of Décopatch, with geometric cutting and gluing for this originally black tray, which now has a new life...
After.

	Protective tape is attached to the bottom of the tray at equal distances. The inside is painted one color. In this case, it's a lacquer paint that's very smooth when dry, as the tray has a flat surface. The edges and underside of the tray are painted with a contrasting color.
Paint a second coat if necessary (this depends on the nature of the paint and the constraint of the colors).
	removing the protective tape, paint the remaining black strips white (to overcome the transparency problem of Décopatch)
Cut out strips of Décopatch paper and glue them, overlapping slightly, on the old ribbon area. Cut triangles of any shape from Décopatch and place them on these strips.

Cut a motif and place it in the center. Be careful not to go too far beyond the motif with the glue varnish, as this would leave an unsightly relief on the lacquered paint. This precaution does not apply to any other type of paint.
