Happy New Year" card with pearl decoration
Here'sa step-by-step guide to creating a simple but highly original card to wish someone a happy new year, with a window card and a pearl decoration offered as a gift, the card being the jewel case.
Materials required:
- a window card a
- sheet of numbers to cut out a
- beaded decoration see"beaded decoration" kits to assemble yourself a
- plain single sheet, a patterned transparent sheet
- double-sided 3d lenses
Tools

Step 1
Cut out the 4 digits of the year (they must be just smaller than each window square on the card).
Step 2
Place the plain sheet inside the card (the colored side will appear through the windows): this sheet must therefore be smaller than the card itself, so cut an edge of about 1 cm using notched scissors. Fix the sheet to the card with a little glue.
Step 3
The cut edge is glued to the left of the window squares for a trompe-l'oeil effect...
The windows are removed from the frames (keep one for later). On the back of each year number, 4 double-sided lenses are glued, allowing 3D gluing of the numbers inside the windows.

Step 4
The pearl jewel suspension is attached to the card by means of a cut-out in a remaining window, itself secured by 4 3d lenses. In this way, the jewel is attached without being damaged and can be easily retrieved by the card recipient.

Step 5
Stars are cut out of a lightly patterned transparent sheet with a hole punch, then glued to the card cover as a reminder of the theme of the beaded decoration
