It involves modifying the files on your website and carrying out a number of
actions to facilitate indexing by search engines. As a general rule, there are three ways to optimize a site for SEO:
- technical improvement: this includes URL rewriting, the use of a robots.txt file, the generation of sitemaps, reducing page load speed, optimizing a website for mobile terminals (responsive design) and choosing technologies that don't block SEO.
- the creation of optimized content: structured, tagged content that is as interesting for the reader as it is relevant for search engines is one of the most important factors in good ranking. Web content must be written according to SEO optimization rules (tagging, meta editing, use of keywords and synonyms, semantic cocoon, addition of images and videos, etc.).
- internal linking: sites containing numerous pages must implement an internal linking strategy, i.e. define how pages will be coherently linked together. High-quality, well-designed internal links make it easier for indexing robots to crawl pages.
