Window painting (commonly known as Windows Color) is an activity that can be discovered (like salt dough) with the kids on a rainy Wednesday afternoon, and which can quickly become an exciting activity for adults. You'll soon discover that windows aren't the only ones that can be decorated From the entrance hall mirror, which will be adorned with beautiful colors, to the vases and glass objects in the living room, via the kitchen's glazed furniture and right down to the bathroom tiles: there are so many decorations to invent to personalize your interior. And, best of all, when you're tired of it all, you can take it all down!

. Find a pretty drawing to reproduce: children's coloring pages are ideal, as the design is simplified. 2. Place the sheet with the design printed on it in a laminated pouch (it will be reusable). 3. Apply the outline directly with the tip of the bottle. If you've just bought a glass paint kit, one of the bottles (usually black) is the ring, not to be confused with the black paint bottle.

The outline must be regular and follow the entire contour of the drawing.
For young children (up to 6 years old) or the elderly, this step is difficult. Bottles are often too rigid: you need to press hard on the bottle, but with even pressure to obtain a ring of identical width, while following the outline of a drawing... Then leave to dry for about an hour. This is why it's a good idea to have an adult carry out this step beforehand, when working with children.
4. Color is also applied directly with the tip of the bottle. An even layer of paint should be applied. The paint should touch the outline without covering it completely: as it dries, a slight shrinkage may occur. There must be no gap between the hoop and the paint, otherwise the model will tear.
You can mix colors! But beware: some colors will change hue as they dry: red, for example, is bright pink in its bottle... In other words, a color created by mixing paint on glass can, once dry, be very different from the one you want!
5. After drying completely (at least 12 hours), carefully remove the drawing from the plastic bag and place it on a window, glass object, mirror, tile...
6. To store your Widows Color design, place it on a plastic pouch and lay it flat. This allows you to decorate your whole house for Christmas, for example, and to use these beautiful decorations again the following year...
